If you believe the insurance company has your best interest in mind when they recommend or attempt to steer you to one of their repair  facilities ... you would probably be WRONG.

Always keep in mind ... It is your vehicle and the insurance company cannot make you go to one of their preferred facilities.

Insurance companies are "big business" and are driven by profits, executive & management bonuses, and stockholder demands. Even the mutual insurance companies that do not have stockholders are profiting hundreds of millions of dollars to pay themselves bonuses, and spend billions of dollars to convince you that they are on your side, a good neighbor, or there when you need them.
